Today:- Sep – The Great Indian Laughter Challenge in its 9th season has brought on board some of India’s iconic comedians – Akshay Kumar as the Super Judge and Mallika Dua, Zakir Khan and Hussain Dalal as the mentors. During the first episode of the show, Akshay was seen talking about Charlie Chaplin, the biggest superstar of comedy.

He is inspired by Chaplin and reveals that he even has a picture of him in his wallet. Chaplin’s words still resonate with him whenever he faces a dilemma in life. Charlie Chaplin has similarly been an inspiration for many. The iconic comedian that he is, his movies inspired actors and masses worldwide. His larger than life personality was always looked upto and his humility was admired.

Akshay quotes Chaplin, “Life is a tragedy when seen in close-up, but a comedy in long-shot.” He strives to stick by Chaplin’s quote and thinks that comedy is a trait that is required in every actor to be deemed as successful.

The show will see some very talented and different performances this season coupled with a laughter ride for the masses.
