Amity International School, Pushp Vihar hosted the ‘Festival of European Languages’

Today :- Jan – Amity International School, Pushp Vihar hosted the ‘Festival of European Languages’ organized by Amity Educational Resource Centre. The festival saw over 2000 children from 50 schools across Delhi/NCR visit the stalls of 20 European countries. The festival also included entertaining activities and workshops such as Cooking without fire (European style); Gzhel: Traditional Russian blue painting on white pottery, hand made Gnome caps besides cultural performances. Addressing the gathering, Dr Amita Chauhan, chairperson, Amity Group of Schools and RBEF shared the holding a festival as this helps promote linguistic and cultural diversity of European countries by encouraging language learning for professional and educational needs as well as higher personal mobility. Claudia Maul, language director, South Asia, Goethe Institute in her address shared that the overwhelming turnout of students at the fair is an indication of the growing in terest of students learning the importance of foreign languages. The day concluded with meritorious performers of participating schools being awarded.
