Today:- July – With foreign companies coming to India in skilled youth to join the global workforce, primarily in low-skill technical jobs, the Naredndar Modi led government in New Delhi has decided to give more thrust to enhance the quality of education at the country‘s Industrial Training Institutes (it is) and also set up “Skill parks to train more people from the younger age bracket.
Elaborating the Centre’s move of “restructuring the ITI’s” Rajive Pratap Rudy, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for skill Development and Entrepreneurship, said, “ The Centre has decided to brand it is to promote it among the youth in terms of skill development There are about 13,000 it is in the entire country, out of which 3,000 are government –run effort are being made so that these institutes set a benchmark in terms of quality in the near future.”
Besides boosting the infrastructure and human output in Indies’ ITIs, the minister is also stressing a lot on developing “global skill parks” where youngsters can learn modern skills to meet demands of upcoming corporate offices in new towns and emerging markets.
One such ‘global skill ark’ based on the Singapore model would be set up in Haryana with an aim to develop efficiency and skill sets of youth, Rudy said adding, “The Haryana government has proposed to establish the park at Manesar in Gurugram.
This was decided in a meeting between Rudy and state Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. During the meeting, and overall review was done with regard to arioso skill development schemes being implemented n Haryana. Rudy noted that sector skill centers would also be Established in Faridabad, Nuh, Hisar, Fatehabad and Bhiwani, where training would be imparted to youth, an official release said,. The Minister said that these centers would be mad functional with the next five months. “These modern centers would serve as models and the union ministry would assist in making them functional,’ he said.
Haryana is taking the lad in opening such global skill parks and there’s a possibility of opening modern skill centers in all districts of the state, for which the Haryana government may send a proposal to the Union skills Development ministry .
Rudy and khattar also had detailed discussions about opening drier training institutes. In this regard, the union minister said the central government would introduce a composite scheme regarding driver triaging institutes where training related to every automotive would be imparted. He said that such modern driver training institutes would be opened in every state. They also discussed establishing entrepreneurship institutes and Pradhan Mantri Kausahl Kendra in each district, and dual training, among other related issues. The CM said that four lakh youth in the state are prepared for employment every year. “While two lakhs of them get jobs on their won, the remaining youth require assistance in finding jobs,” Khattar said. To this Rudy responded, “The Saksham YUVA Scheme shall be linked with the central government so that maximum employment opportunities may be generated for the youth in Haryana.”
