Today:- Sep – National Students Union of India (NSUI) has made a stunning comeback by winning three posts, including the crucial Presidential one. NSUI has won the President post after four years.
ABVP has managed to bag the Secretary post. The counting of vote took place today in the Delhi University. Last year, while RSS-backed ABVP had won the post of president, vice president and secretary, Congress’ students’ union NSUI was elected to the post of joint secretary.
The main contestants for the DUSU presidential post were ABVP’s Rajat Choudhary, NSUI’s Rocky Tusheed, AISA’s Parul Chauha, independent candidates Raja Choudury and Alka.
Delhi University Students’ Union elections were scheduled on Tuesday in which around 1,30,000 voters were cast their ballot at 124 polling booths.
The results of the elections to Delhi University Students’ Union were declared today after 42.8% voter turnout was reported on Tuesday.

Voting took place in two segments: the first between 8.30am and 1pm, the at 3pm to at 7.30pm.
After the University declared joint secretary for ABVP, the NSUI is asking for a recount.
